The University of Iowa Mobile Museum will head to Northwest Iowa to celebrate the 30th annual Flagfest in Spencer Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15.
The museum, a collaboration between the Office of the State Archaeologist, the Old Capitol Museum, and the UI Museum of Natural History, will be present at festivities throughout the weekend. It will be open to the public from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Clay County Fairgrounds and from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Northwest Iowa Regional Airport.
The 38-foot custom-built RV features exhibits on Iowa history, archaeology and paleontology, as well as an interactive digital wall that invites visitors to explore UI research and creativity. Admission is free.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. The Mobile Museum is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
